Die hervorragenden Lagen tragen natürlich dazu bei, dass auch die "einfachen" Village-Weine spitzenklasse sind.
Allen Meadows: "This is also very fresh with pretty red pinot fruit that is liberally laced with pungent Gevrey-style earth that complements the detailed and tension-filled medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a clean and dry finish in the best senses of those terms. There is also a touch of youthful austerity but the ripeness of the tannins suggests that it will not last indefinitely."
